Veracity PH – Battery Optimization Guide
Follow these settings to maximize battery life and achieve up to ~40 hours of runtime. Average runtime is 10-40 hours dependent on illumination timeout settings, and illumination intensity.
Step 1: Access Settings
From the Optics tab in Burris Connect, open Settings.
- Inclination Compensation: OFF
- Digital Level: 0.5° (or disable if not needed)
- Display Timeout: 10s
- Reticle Timeout: 5m
- Scope Auto-Off: 1h
Step 2: Set Display Timeout
Open Display Timeout and select:
The display is one of the largest sources of battery drain. Setting a short timeout ensures the display powers down quickly after use.
Step 3: Set Reticle Timeout
Open Reticle Timeout and select:
This provides enough active time for normal shooting while preventing unnecessary battery drain during idle periods.
Step 4: Set Scope Auto-Off
Open Scope Auto-Off and select:
This setting helps conserve battery life by automatically powering the scope down after a period of inactivity.
Turning the elevation turret will automatically power the scope back on and return it to the last active settings.
Battery Best Practices
| Do | Do Not |
|---|---|
| Install a fresh set of batteries before each hunt or shooting event | Do not store batteries in the scope during long-term storage |
| Check battery expiration dates before use | Do not use old or previously stored batteries |
| Use high-quality, name-brand batteries | Do not assume unused batteries are still fresh |
Key Takeaways
- Display Timeout: 10 seconds
- Reticle Timeout: 5 minutes
- Auto-Off Timeout: 1 hour
- Disable unnecessary features when possible
- Always use fresh, non-expired batteries
These settings reduce power consumption and help achieve up to approximately 40 hours of battery life under normal operating conditions.
