Reticle Information
Ballistic Plex
The Ballistic Plex is a simple, effective, trajectory-compensating reticle. It provides holdover reference marks for extended ranges and can be matched to virtually any common hunting cartridge.
- Effective from approximately 100–500 yards, depending on cartridge and zero.
- Can be used with slug guns, muzzleloaders, sabot loads, and .22 LR configurations.
- Each horizontal stadia line represents a specific distance once you confirm at the range.
G2B Mil-Dot
The G2B Mil-Dot reticle is a mil-based design with hash marks between the dots for more precise aiming and measurement. It is ideal for mid- to long-range shooting where accurate ranging and wind holds are required.
- Mil-based holdovers and wind holds.
- Dots and half-mil hashes provide fine aiming references.
- Can be used for range estimation using known target sizes.
Zeroing & Turret Operation
Droptine riflescopes use low-profile, finger-adjustable windage and elevation knobs. After you sight-in:
- Remove the turret caps.
- Hold the turret knob firmly so it does not rotate.
- Insert a pen or small tool into the small hole in the numbered dial.
- Rotate only the dial back to the “0” index mark while keeping the knob itself stationary.
This allows you to reference your zero easily in the field without affecting your actual point of impact.
Mounting Requirements
- All Droptine riflescopes use a 1-inch main tube.
- Use high-quality rings and bases to maintain zero and prevent damage.
- Recommended options include:
- Burris Zee™ Rings
- XTB bases
Care & Maintenance
- Droptine scopes are fully waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof.
- To clean lenses:
- Blow off loose dust or debris.
- Use a Lens Pen or soft brush to gently remove remaining particles.
- For heavy dirt (like dried mud), use clean water or lens-cleaning fluid first.
- Only the exterior of the scope and lenses require cleaning; all internal assemblies are permanently lubricated.
- Do not disassemble the scope. Non-factory disassembly voids the warranty.
Warranty
All Burris Droptine riflescopes are covered by the Burris Signature Warranty™.
- No repair or replacement charge if the optic is damaged or defective.
-
No receipt required.
