Burris Oracle™ X — Rangefinding Crossbow Scope
Battery (scope): 1× CR123 | Battery (remote): 1× CR2032 | Zoom: 2–7× | SKU / Item #: 300410
Tech Notes
• One button, exact aim: Range the target; Oracle X displays yardage and lights the exact drop dot for your bolt at that distance.
• Angle compensation: Built-in inclinometer auto-corrects for up/downhill shots (no manual math).
• Quick summary The Oracle X intentionally allows a small amount of play so the mount can absorb the very different recoil impulse of a crossbow versus a firearm. — as long as the optic returns to zero once you stop physically rocking it, there’s no functional problem. • Two bolt profiles: Store/true AS1 and AS2 (e.g., field points vs. broadheads).
• Continuous range: Press & hold FIRE ≈3 s for live (continuous) ranging; quick press for single range.
• Electronic level: On-screen left/right cant indicator helps maintain form at longer ranges. • There will be a slight wobble in all of the bases. Simply don't physically grab it and rock it to avoid this issue. • Is your Oracle X maxed out on your Ten Point Cross bow? This is common for their bows that shoot over 400 FPS. Give them a call they have a shim to solve the issue. Contact Ten Point.

| 5 | Reticle & Aiming LEDs | Fixed center crosshair for 20-yd sight-in; vertical post with drop LEDs. |
| 6 | Electronic Bubble Level | Indicates left/right cant during aim. |
| 7 | Magnification Ring (2–7×) | Optical zoom; “ZOOM OUT” prompt appears if dot exits FOV at high mag. |
| 8 | Eyepiece / Diopter | Focus reticle crisp/black via quick-glance method. |
| 9 | Battery Compartment (right) | CR123 installs negative (–) first. |
| 10 | Wireless Remote | Factory-paired; non-directional ~50 ft; CR2032 battery. |
| 11 | Integrated Rail Mount | Fits Picatinny/Weaver; push forward to recoil lug before torquing. |
| 12 | Clamping Bars & Nuts | T25 Torx® bolts; torque ~40–70 in-lb. |
| 13 | Recoil Lug | Seat forward for repeatable return-to-zero under recoil. |
| 14 | Windage Lock Screw | Loosen before using windage adjust wheel (front). |
| 15 | Windage Adjust (coin slot) | At 20 yd, ~¼″ per index line; CCW → POI Right; CW → POI Left. |
| 16 | Elevation Lock Screw | Loosen before rear thumb-wheel elevation. |
| 17 | Elevation Adjust (thumb wheel) | At 20 yd, ~¼″ per index line; CCW → POI Up; CW → POI Down. |
| 18 | Ranging Optics (front apertures) | Class 1 IR ranging + visible alignment laser (covered). |
2) Quick Start — Mount • Power • 20-yd Zero
| Step | Guidance |
|---|---|
| Mount | Loosen T25 bolts, seat scope on rail; push forward to engage recoil lug; torque ~40–70 in-lb. |
| Battery | Install CR123 (– first). Remote uses CR2032. Tap any eyepiece button to “wake” before using the remote. |
| Eyepiece focus | Quick-glance while turning diopter until reticle is crisp/black (don’t stare while turning). |
| 20-yd sight-in | Group at 20 yd using center crosshair. Adjust windage/elevation (¼″ per index line @ 20 yd). Lock both screws. |
3) Menus & Controls (What the buttons do)
| Control | Action |
|---|---|
| Enter Setup | Hold FIRE + UP ≈3 s → menu header shows (e.g., MENU). |
| Navigate | UP/DOWN = move options | RIGHT = select/save | LEFT = back/exit. |
| Units | UNITS: choose Yards or Meters; RIGHT to save. |
| Bolt Profiles | BOLT: pick AS1 or AS2 (two independent bolt/arrow setups). |
| Truing | TRUING: set SR1–SR4 calibration distances (≥30 yd each) and “chase” groups with ▲/▼ until POA = POI; RIGHT to save. |
| Data | DATA: view stored ballistic info for AS1/AS2 after truing. |
| Reset | RESET: restore factory ballistic curve for Bolt 1, Bolt 2, or both. |
4) Trajectory Calibration (Truing) — SR1 to SR4
- Enter TRUING (FIRE+UP → TRUING → RIGHT). Select SR1 with ▲/▼ and press RIGHT.
- Press FIRE to range your target and display the current hold-over LED for that distance (min truing distance 30 yd).
- Shoot ≥3 arrows using the lit LED. If POI ≠ POA, move the LED with ▲/▼ to center your group (“chase” your arrows).
- Press RIGHT to accept. “DONE” flashes three times; advance to SR2–SR4 as desired (≥10 yd spacing works well).
- Exit to shoot mode (LEFT). Verify across the full span; add/change an SR at any distance that needs refinement.
Examples: Short-range set (SR1=35, SR2=50). Long-range set (SR1=40, SR2=75, SR3=100).
5) Operations & Prompts
| Feature / Prompt | What it means / What to do |
|---|---|
| Manual Brightness | Tap FIRE to wake dot → ▲/▼ to adjust (three lower manual levels). Retains the last manual level for ~30 min after entering sleep. |
| DST (Distance Error) | Displayed in TRUING if target <30 yd. Pick a calibration target at ≥30 yd. |
| ZOOM OUT | Aiming dot is outside the field at current magnification. Reduce magnification until the dot reappears. |
| TOO FAR | Target beyond trajectory limits for your trued profile. Close distance or re-true for longer-range use. |
| Failure to Range | If no valid range is returned, system shows default aiming dots every 10 yd starting at 20 yd. Ranging under 5 yd is suppressed. |
| Angle Compensation | Auto converts line-of-sight to horizontal distance (±45°). No extra input required. |
6) Core Specifications
| Category | Detail |
|---|---|
| Laser to Deer | ~5–200 yd (effective) |

7) Safety, Legal & Care
- Laser safety: Avoid direct eye exposure; do not view the beam through optics; avoid mirror-like surfaces.
- Legality: Not legal for big-game hunting in some states—verify local regulations before field use.
- Storage: Remove the CR123 if storing long-term; ensure the FIRE/remote isn’t pressed in transport.
- Lens care: Blow/brush grit first; for heavy dirt (e.g., dried mud), rinse with clean water or lens fluid, then finish with a Lens Pen.
- Warranty: Covered by the Burris Signature Warranty™.
