2) Mounting — Bases, Prep, Clamp Engagement & Torque
| Step | Detail |
|---|---|
| Base type | Use a Weaver-style or Picatinny-style cross-slot base. Burris Xtreme Tactical Bases are recommended for Eliminator III. |
| Surface prep | Degrease receiver and bases (especially screw holes) and allow to dry. Avoid contact with stock or lenses. |
| Eye relief | Shoulder the rifle; set the scope as far forward as possible while maintaining a full field of view. |
| Clamp placement | With mount clamps open, place the mount bolts into two base slots. Set the scope onto the bolts, rock gently side-to-side until scope rail sits flush. Clamps must grip the base lip and the scope’s underside rail. |
| Set & torque |
Push the scope forward to seat against recoil, then tighten both hex nuts to 50–70 in-lb. Finger-tighten first; then torque evenly.
|
| MOA Bases | We recommend 0 MOA bases with all of our Eliminator scopes. Canted bases are not recommended. |

3) Parallax/Focus & Sighting-In (Quick)
- Parallax/Focus: Rotate the objective parallax ring until head movement doesn’t shift the reticle on target.
- Zero: Start at 25 yd, then 100 yd (centerfire) or 50 yd (rimfire/slug/muzzleloader/300 BLK sub). Clicks are 1/8 MOA at 100 yd (32 clicks = 1″ at 25 yd). Re-index the capped turrets to “0” after zeroing.
