Tech Note — “Clicking” sound: At times you may hear a faint click from the thermal. This is the internal shutter performing a refresh (NUC) to maintain image quality. This is normal operation and has been field-tested while hunting— animals do not hear it.

4) How to Measure for a Smartclip

1. Remove caps/sunshades from your daylight scope’s objective bell.
2. Use calipers to measure the outside diameter (OD) at the front of the objective bell.
3. Choose the Smartclip whose size (mm) equals your measured OD.
4. Thread the adapter on the BTC (M33.5×0.75), clamp to the scope, and lock the cam lever.

5) Power & Batteries

• Two 16340 (RCR123) rechargeable cells; hot-swap supported (open one door at a time).
• CR123A 3V will work but are not recommended (reduced runtime, especially in cold).
• USB-C external power extends runtime (does not charge cells while running). USB-C→RCA provides analog video out.
• Battery status: two SoC bars in the menu wheel (left & right batteries).

• Focus & Zoom: Focus with objective ring; min ~2 ft. Rotate knob for 1×/2×/4× digital zoom.

7) Wi-Fi & BurrisConnect

• Wi-Fi SSID “BTC-XXXX”, password “12345678”. Enable in menu, connect from phone, then open BurrisConnect.
• Use the app for live view, remote control, photos/video, and remote palette/scene/brightness controls.

8) Screen Positions & Screen Adjustment (Zeroing)

• Screen Positions: Save up to 3 presets to maintain zero across setups.
• Screen Adjustment (zero workflow): Ensure your daylight scope is zeroed → mount BTC (Smartclip or 626607 QD) → MENU → Screen Adjustment → align X to day-scope reticle → align Y → fire one shot at your zero distance → Freeze → move X/Y to POI → Exit & Save. (Pixel-optimized clicks: ~0.6 MOA / 0.18 MIL ≈ 5/8″ @ 100 yd or 1.75 cm @ 100 m)

9) Care

• Protect the germanium lens; clean only when needed with blower/brush/lens pen or lens cleaner. Avoid solvents and harsh scrubbing.
• Store dry/ventilated when not in use.
