Step 2: Mount the Scope on Your Crossbow
- The mount fits both Weaver and Picatinny style rails.
- Slide the scope forward or backward to find the ideal position for comfortable eye relief.
If more forward adjustment is needed:
- Loosen the screws on the clamps and remove them.
- Reposition the clamps from the forward holes to the rear holes to push the scope forward.
Final mounting:
- Tighten the screws to secure the scope, ensuring the recoil lug contacts the mount.
- Torque the screws to at least 40 inch-pounds for stability.
Step 3: Mount the Bluetooth Remote
- Use the supplied Velcro or zip ties to attach the remote to your crossbow.
- Position it for easy access with minimal hand or finger movement.
- For some crossbows, the handguard is an ideal location for mounting the remote.
Note:
If you need to repair or pair the Bluetooth remote to your Oracle X scope, please follow the official pairing guide here: Oracle X Remote Pairing Quick Guide (PDF).

Step 4: Sight In the Scope
Initial Zero at 20 Yards
- Use the mount adjustments to align the center crosshair at 20 yards.
- It is recommended to start by shooting a couple of bolts at 10 yards to confirm hitting the target.
- Shoot 3 arrows at 20 yards with the scope at factory settings.
- Observe the group and note if adjustments are needed (windage and elevation).
Adjusting the Mount
- Loosen the windage and elevation lock screws on the mount.
- Each tick mark equals a ¼ inch movement at 20 yards.
- Adjust according to where your arrows are grouping.
- Tighten the lock screws after each adjustment before shooting again.
Step 5: True Your Ballistic Curve
The Oracle X comes pre-loaded with a basic ballistic curve. You will modify this curve to fit your specific crossbow and bolt setup by adding additional sight-in distances (truing points).
Recommended Truing Distances
- Minimum: 20 yards + 1 additional distance (for example, 40 yards if space is limited)
- More accurate curve: Up to 4 distances, such as 20, 30, 50, 70 yards or beyond
How to Enter the Truing Menu
- Turn on the scope by pressing the fire button.
- Hold the fire button + up button simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter the menu.
- Use up/down arrows to navigate to the Truing Menu.
- Press the right arrow to select a truing range (SR1, SR2, etc.).
Setting a Truing Point
- Select the desired range (for example, 50 yards).
- Press the fire button to get a range reading and see the aiming LED on the reticle.
- Aim and shoot 2–3 bolts at the target.
- Observe where the bolts group relative to the aiming LED.
- Adjust the LED position up or down to “chase” the arrow group.
- The original LED will flash; the new LED will be solid, indicating your new aiming point.
- Confirm the new setting by pressing the right arrow.
Repeat the process for additional truing points as needed.
Step 6: Exit the Menu and Test
- Press the left arrow multiple times to exit the truing menu.
- Test your ballistics at various distances to ensure accuracy.
- Use additional truing points to refine your ballistic curve if needed.
Tips
- Always use the center crosshair (20-yard pin) to range your target.
- Adjust your aiming pin as recommended by the scope for each distance.
- Regularly test your ballistics with different bolt types and distances for best performance.
Technical Notes
- It is recommended to remove the battery after use to maintain battery life.
- For crossbows exceeding 400 FPS, we recommend using 40, 60, 80, and 100 yards for your truing points. This will help provide the best ballistic curve for your crossbow.
